(RTTNews) – French industrial gases group Air Liquide (AIQUY.PK) announced on Tuesday its agreement with Toyota Motor Europe, an affiliate of Japanese automobile major Toyota Motor Corp. (TYT.L, TM), and the Portuguese bus manufacturer CaetanoBus to develop the integrated hydrogen solution in Europe.
The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding or memorandum of understanding for the partnership, which will include the development of infrastructure and vehicle fleets, to accelerate the expansion of hydrogen mobility for light-duty vehicles and heavy.
The focus will initially be on buses, light commercial vehicles and cars, with the aim of accelerating the heavy-duty segment.
The agreement reflects the ambition of the partners to help decarbonize transport and accelerate the development of local hydrogen ecosystems for multiple mobility applications.
The companies will address the entire hydrogen mobility value chain, from renewable or low-carbon hydrogen production, distribution and refueling infrastructure to the deployment of the various vehicle segments.
They will offer the infrastructure and refueling stations, as well as integrated vehicle offers (rental and service) to customers such as taxi companies, fleet operators, local authorities, etc.
