Atlas Copco acquires German compressed air specialist

Atlas Copco continues to expand its product portfolio with the acquisition of DF-Druckluft-Fachhandel GmbH, a German online compressed air solutions platform and consulting service provider for various application segments. Acquired for an undisclosed price, the business will become part of Atlas Copco’s Professional Air division within its Compressor Technique business area.

Based in Herrenberg, Stuttgart, DF-Druckluft-Fachhandel GmbH is a private company with 39 employees and a presence in Germany and Austria.

“DF-Druckluft-Fachhandel is a well-established company with proven expertise in selling compressed air solutions and equipment online, which makes it a good fit for us,” said Vagner Rego, sector president. of activity, Compressor Technique. “This acquisition will increase our market share in e-commerce, as well as strengthen our service to local customers in this crucial region.”

This latest acquisition follows separate announcements at the end of last month that Atlas Copco had completed the acquisition of Geveke, an Amsterdam-based distributor of compressors and components, and its agreement to purchase US-based Montana.
