Police have arrested a man following the death of a 16-year-old teenager in Mehsana, who died after the accused allegedly inserted an air compressor hose into his rectum “for fun”.
According to the police, the incident took place at Alok Industries premises in Kadi taluka on Thursday when the victim boy, a resident of Labor Company on Chhatral-Kadi highway, allegedly lost consciousness after the compressor pipe of the air was inserted into his rectum. After he died in a hospital, police arrested his colleague Kuldeep Vijaybhai for culpable homicide under IPC 304. Police said the minor died from internal injuries caused by a sudden burst of air in his cavity.
The victim, from Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh, had worked for two months in carpentry at Alok Industries. “We were doing carpentry work in the factory premises and around 12:30 p.m., I asked the workers to go take a lunch break. Before going to the lunch break, the workers used an air compressor to suck up the pieces of wood scattered on their clothes. I saw the boy victim and the accused teasing each other. I told them to stop doing it and join us for lunch. A few minutes later, Kuldeep came running towards us and said the victim was unconscious,” Trilochan Gautam, a contractor at Alok Industries, said in his police complaint.
“Kuldeep then told us that while they were removing the wood particles from their clothes using the compressor hose, the victim first tried to insert the hose into Kuldeep’s rectum for fun. Kuldeep then said he too inserted the pipe into the victim’s rectum, after which he fell unconscious. We took the victim to Bhagyoday Hospital in Kadi town where he was pronounced dead,” Gautam added.
